I had a little fun today with this caricature study of Billy Joel. My work has taken on a totally different look since I started drawing again. It really helps to get a good sketch developed and work on top of that. Why not just paint it you may ask? I am getting back to the basics by sketching and I am teaching myself digital painting so you will see some of that in the near future. Meanwhile there are a lot of people who still like the photo-manipulated caricatures so we’ll see. I never plan these things. I just go with my instincts and most importantly, I do what I enjoy.
