Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones

I just finished this caricature study of Ronnie Wood from The Rolling Stones. After finishing the last Mick Jagger caricature last week, I decided I’d better get the entire band done while these guys are still around. 50 years as a band… Wow! That’s insane. Gotta’ respect these guys. The background is one of Ronnie Woods paintings made for his solo album. He’s quite an accomplished artist.

Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones – 2013

Mick Jagger and the rest of the Stones are looking kind of old these days so I want to get some caricatures done of these guys before it’s too late. Mick has incredible character in his face. Can’t wait to get to Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts. They’re all incredible subjects. I’m also posting the work in progress, (WIP) of the early stages of this piece that I posted on Google+ yesterday for my new “What’s on the Wacom” series that I post there. I’m going to try and post them here on a more regular basis here to give you a feel for my process or lack there of. 🙂

Mick Jagger of The Rolling Stones

Tonight I have a photo-manipulated caricature of Mick Jagger from The Rolling Stones. The Stones are one of the most important bands in the history of music and some of the most well known faces. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards especially have great character in their faces, perfect for caricatures. I want to do Keith Richards in the near future. These guys have been around for a long time and are still making music. I’ve posted the source picture below as well as a great video of one of their classics, “Angie”. So, here’s to one of the greatest bands in the history of music.
