Tonight’s post is a portrait of Rembrandt’s Soldier Bean in full 16″ x 20″ x 300DPI poster size print, the latest of and now available in my Mr Bean Collection.
This piece was a commission for a client who wanted a 16 x 20 image to appear as a painting and is to be framed like an old master. These are always a lot of fun and great practice. I actually made a major breakthrough experimenting on this image with some new techniques that I will incorporate on all of my future work. I also learned a couple of new techniques in the latest Adobe Creative Suite.
Well, it’s Saturday night and after a very long wait of many months with broken titanium in my back, I go in Monday morning at 4:30am to have it all pulled out and done over. Wish me luck!
Facelift – a portrait of Mrs Bean. This is the latest addiction to my Mr Bean Collection. Click the image for details or Click Here for the entire Mr Bean Experience.
This is a movie spoof looking back on Bruce Willis’s Die Hard movies, this time staring Rowan Atkinson’s Mr Bean character. Mr Bean is always a lot of fun and people just can’t seem to get enough of him. I lived in Scotland during his heyday and enjoyed watching his TV show. Tonight, I add a little life back into the old character which I think is timeless. Check out the rest of the Mr Bean Collection here.
Mr Bean hijacks another Rembrandt Masterpiece. The source image is a famous self portrait by Rembrandt called “Self Portrait with Two Circles“. Rowan Atkinson’s Mr Bean character put into absurd situations and inserted into famous paintings by old masters has been by far my most popular images, so here’s another one to be added to my ever growing Mr Bean Store. I’ve done quite a few images over the years from very complex time consuming pieces to the simplest of pieces like this one and these silly images always win out. Be sure and check out the full Mr Bean Collection Here. I’ve been asked to put more of this type work out there, so look for more craziness ahead.
I’m back to doing some custom caricature portrait commissions lately so I thought I’d make a post and let you know your options. I provide two basic types of caricature portrait commissions. A low resolution headshot caricature mainly for use as a social media profile pic which is the least expensive. Not that these are expensive. I offer very affordable prices on these. The other would be a 300DPI, 8 x 10 or larger with custom background of your choice. All files are downloadable upon payment. Above are a few examples and below, you will find a few before and after shots. These make great gift ideas for the holidays. You may contact me by my contact link provided or simple email me at rodneywpike@gmail.com for details.
