Just a note to say I’m in the process of building a new website. I’ve had a couple of blogs for several years but never had a proper web site with e-commerce and a proper store offering my services and imagery. I’ll have a full gallery with prints of my archived work and the print sizes available which I’ve received numerous requests for as well as client galleries and all services offered. The new domain is RodneyPikeArt.com and will be going live very soon so keep an eye out!

Bill Murray Handsome As Ever

This is a quick caricature study of Bill Murray. He’s starting to show his age but he’s still funny as ever. I grew up on this guy’s comedy starting in the 70s on Saturday Night Live. He’s always a fun subject to work with. I’ve probably done 10 caricatures of him over the years and all of them are completely different. The man has many faces!

Remembering my Mom on Mother’s Day

Mary Matherne Pike – AKA “Granny” 1928 – 2015

Today, I’m remembering my sweet Mom, Mary Matherne Pike. Mother’s Day just isn’t the same without her. She devoted her life to raising us and her many grandchildren. Her entire world was her family. I always think of her when I hear the song by Alter Bridge, “In Loving Memory” written by their lead guitarist Mark Tremonti and sang by Myles Kennedy. Happy Mother’s Day Mom!

A side note: To everyone who still has their Mom with them… Visit her often, love on her, buy her flowers and make the most of every moment you have her because one day, memories and pictures are all we’ll have.

Clint Eastwood – A Caricature Study

This is a recent caricature study of Clint Eastwood, one of my all time favorite actors and arguably the baddest cowboy in the history of the film industry. Gotta love those crusty features! I’m in the process of negotiating a contract for several jobs with another big name you may have heard of, Hulk Hogan. The project sounds like a lot of fun and if all works out, you’ll be seeing some fun new work featuring “The Hulk“. Stay tuned!!

Ian Fraser Kilmister (24 December 1945 – 28 December 2015), better known as Lemmy, was an English musician, singer, and songwriter who founded and fronted the rock band Motörhead. His music was one of the foundations of the heavy metal genre. He was known for his appearance (including his friendly mutton chops), his distinctive gravelly voice and distinctive bass playing style. Alongside his music career, he also had many minor roles in film and television.
