Bouguereau – Bean Brother and Sister
Jan 24, 2013
Todays post is yet another Mr Bean manipulation in preparation for my Beanathon on Google+ next week. Check me out at +Rodney Pike . I think this is image number 28, so I have only a couple more to finish for the First Annual Beanathon to pay tribute to a brilliant comedian and actor Rowan Atkinson. The source image was another William Bouguereau painting called “Bouguereau Breton Brother and Sister”. Time is running out. On to the next one.

Hans Holbein – HolBean The Panty Scandle
Jan 22, 2013
This is another addition to my Mr Bean collection which I will be showing in its entirety in the coming days. I have a couple more that are almost finished. I will post these as I work on some pay jobs over the next couple of days here on Google+ and Facebook. This was a portrait of Thomas Howard by Hans Holbean – 1539. In the original painting he was holding two sticks that looked like pool sticks…?? Anyhow the hand position was good enough to insert a scandalous little touch. I’m going to try and have 30 pieces for the upcoming “Beanathon“. I hope you enjoy them.

Bouguereau’s Eugeneia The Lonely Bride
Jan 21, 2013
This is the latest edition to my Mr Bean collection. This time I’ve chosen a portrait of a young lady by William Bouguereau. I enjoy doing these painting manipulations because it’s always challenging matching color and texture. This is where I learn and develop new techniques. I especially enjoy creating new textures. In this manipulation, unlike most of my Bean manipulations, he looks sort of sad so I searched for female names in Greek and found the perfect one. Eugeneia, which in the Greek means “well worn”. Who wants a bride with the name well worn, hence “The Lonely Bride”. I never know what I’m going to come up with when I start these projects. If you look closely, you’ll see that the source image for this piece is the exact same one used in my last piece, just flipped.
