New Client – WeedMaps – Louis Armstrong Caricature

Yesterday I delivered the first of many commissioned pieces to my newest client, WeedMaps. Above is a screen capture of yesterdays post by marijuana.com of Louis Armstrong.

Weedmaps is an online legal marijuana community that allows users to review and discuss cannabis strains and local dispensaries. The website is similar to Yelp and contains a database with over 3,000 medical marijuana dispensaries and 25,000 strains of cannabis. The company was launched in July 2008 by Justin Hartfield and Keith Hoerling. The site attracts approximately Two Million monthly visitors and has annual revenue of $18 million. Weedmaps is widely considered the industry leader and premier medical marijuana site on the web, catering to the entire industry from patients to businesses and continues to see substantial growth.

The majority of the commissions will be seen on their sister company marijuana.com. If you haven’t seen their YouTube Channel, WeedMapsTV you should check it out. I’ll be doing several pieces for WeedMaps as well as working with them on social media and SEO. WeedMaps will be flying me to California to do an interview and demo on their show next month. Great bunch of people. I look forward to working with them. Should have some fun stuff come out of this venture. Stay tuned!

SportsChat.TV with Host Brooke Brown

Everyone knows I’m a lover of art but I also enjoy my sports. If you love sports and love talking sports of any kind, you are going to love this feature. But it’s not just for sports fans, it’s also for the athletes themselves. Fans and Athletes can hangout together using Google Plus Hangout Technology and discuss the current topic, whether it be a particular sport, a team, an athlete or even fitness.

Tonight I’m featuring an awesome new site called SportsChat.TV along with the CEO, Owner and Host of SportsChat.TV‘s weekly broadcasts, Brooke Brown AKA +Brooke Brown at Google+ You can also find a business page on Google+ called +SportsChat.TV which is the live broadcast headquarters for the show. Brooke is also a good friend of mine and is doing a great job with this new site. If you’re a member of Google+, you’ll definitely want to circle Brooke and the business page at the links mentioned above as well as requesting to be added to the Sports Circle that Brooke curates both from her personal and business pages. My name is Brooke Brown, and I have been passionate about sports since I was about three years old. Makes sense that after getting my Bachelors of Arts in Communication from the University of Arizona, I would hope to pursue a career in media relations or broadcasting. Chris Pirillo ~ YouTube Powerhouse, Technology Strategist and more

Tonight I’m posting a very subtle manipulated caricature of Chris Pirillo, as he is already a walking caricature. Chris is a fellow Google+‘er, a multi-talented Technology guru, a YouTube giant, very prominent social networker, Technology Strategist and many other things as well as really nice guy. Most Google+ enthusiasts will recognize him right away, but for those of you who don’t know him, he is a very well circled Google+’er with 53,000+ circles, probably a lot more by now with Google+ finally going public. Be sure and look for +Chris Pirillo and circle him. You’ll also want to subscribe to his entertaining and informative YouTube channel with 7 million+ channel views…wow! where he discusses Technology and explains things in such a way that even I can understand, beside he’s funny as he!!. It’s great stuff. I watch it every day, several times a day. He stays quite busy on YouTube. You can also find Chris’s Facebook Fan Page, Blog and you can tweet him @ChrisPirillo if you’d like.
